LOCAL GUIDE
The best time to visit Hochatown
A season-by-season guide for couples planning a getaway.
Hochatown is beautiful any time of year, but each season has its own magic. Here's how to pick the right weekend for you.
FALL AND WINTER
Cozy season
Fall brings color to the pines and cool nights made for the sauna and hot tub. Winter is quiet and romantic, with both gas fireplaces running from October through May. It's the best time for long nights in.
SPRING AND SUMMER
Lake season
Spring wakes up the trails at Beavers Bend. Summer is all about Broken Bow Lake by day and the cold plunge to cool off by night. Summer weekends book fast, so plan ahead.
INSIDER TIP
Weekdays are the secret
Weekends and holidays are the busiest. A Sunday to Thursday stay means quieter trails, easier dinner reservations, and more of the woods to yourselves.
PLAN YOUR STAY
The Wild Haven is an adults-only couples cabin in Hochatown with a barrel sauna, cold plunge, hot tub, private stargazing dome, and two fireplaces. Dog-friendly, too.
