LOCAL GUIDE
Hochatown wineries, breweries, and treats
Where couples go to sip, snack, and treat themselves near The Wild Haven.
Part of the fun of a Hochatown getaway is wandering from tasting room to tasting room. Here are a few spots worth a stop.
WINERIES
Sip something local
Girls Gone Wine is a fun local favorite for a glass or a flight. Fish Tales Winery pours local wines plus Mountain Fork Brewery beer. Vojai's Winery offers tastings in the pines. Wild Horse Winery is one of Hochatown's newest. At Girls Gone Wine, you can even make your own wine and take a bottle home. It's a sweet keepsake from an anniversary trip. Our tip: pick two or three stops, not six. Share a flight, grab a snack, and take your time.
BREWERIES AND SPIRITS
Raise a glass
Beavers Bend Brewery brings craft beer and live music. Hochatown Distilling Co. pours local spirits and tastings. Go in the late afternoon, grab a seat outside, and let the evening slow down.
TREAT YOURSELVES
A little indulgence
Body Harmony Day Spa is a local day spa for a little pampering. Mountain Man Meat Market has steaks to grill back at the cabin. Local 259 has shops and a grocery with a great deli. Hochabow is home to Local Habit Coffee, Loblolly Chocolates, and boutique shops.
PLAN YOUR STAY
Sip your way around Hochatown, then head back to The Wild Haven for the sauna, hot tub, and a fire under the stars. Adults-only, dog-friendly, and made for two. Please drink responsibly and plan a safe ride back. Good to know: weekdays are quieter than weekends, and hours can change with the seasons, so check before you go. Pick a designated driver or plan your ride ahead of time. Then come home to a quiet cabin in the pines, built just for two.
